  • A long career in marine operations of all types, including general cargo, container, RORO, offshore, towing and seismic. 
  • The last 15 years or so have been spent in senior positions on board, mainly Master.
  • ISM came into force in 2002 and brought with it greater responsibilities for Masters regarding safety matters and the requirement for surveys of equipment to be carried out by vessel’s personnel.
  • With the inception of ISPS in June 2003 responsibilities grew to include duties as Ship’s Security Officer.
  • Since 2008 employed by POSH as both an IMCA auditor and as an HSE Client representative. More details are listed in exerience.
